Major chords are used a lot in dobro music so learning them is probably one of the first things you should do.
But learning chords can be a dreaded task when you’re new to an instrument.
In this lesson, I teach you an easy way to learn the dobro basic major chords (all straight-bar).
This lesson also comes with 2 pages of high resolution chord diagrams that you can download below (please consider supporting the site by buying a lesson or making a donation if you only use the free lessons 😉 )

I am going to try lap steel and dobro, since my left hand cannot make the chords on banjo or guitar — sold both of them. I do have a cheaper dobro and am awaiting arrival of a lap steel.

cool, feel free to get in touch if you need help!
This is a great lesson presented in a slow, detailed manner that suits me perfectly. You have helped me immensely by teaching me theory along with technique. I can’t play a song yet, but I can make music and could conceivably play the chords along with a song that I know. Thank you!
Great!
Thank you for your lessons. I just picked up the dobro and there is not much out there. I am exploring a few free lessons and may sign up as I explore.
Awesome!
